Sweet Summertime!

I know that everyday is a blessing
I know that there are the same number of hours in everyday
If that is the case why does it seem that summer days and weeks go so fast?
Don't get me wrong I love fall of the year and back to school...
However, should summer vacation really be over in August?
I am already sad and I vow I will just enjoy everyday and not do a countdown

I just really enjoy being with my kids and husband
Yes, they are not perfect
They fuss, make a mess, and cost a lot of money
They complain that there is not enough to do and
then that there is too much to do
The few days I have left I am just going to enjoy and soak it all in
The good and the bad
It is still sweet summertime to me

Summer at last!!

Well we made it through May
It wasn't easy or fun.......
My kids worked very hard for their grades...
We have started sleeping until 10:00 AM...
and staying up until 11:00 PM.......... or later.

We had a great day yesterday picking my Daddy's peaches off of his tree....
and making cobbler with my Mama...
The good news is that Daddy ate two bowls which is great because he is going through chemo
and getting skinny as a rail.
Mama is exhausted today but thanks for the memories! Here are some random photos from summer so far

I feel scared
I can't sleep for praying
I am sick with worry
I read my Bible until my head hurts
I beg to understand
Two parents with cancer
Two sweet good parents who have been there for me
I must be there for them
Please pray I can be a good daughter and stay strong
I love you Lord and I know I will not understand on this side

Today is the day

Well today is the day....
I have wanted a blog for a long time...
afraid that no one will read....
Now I need to do this....
Don't care if no one reads....
doing it for me...
doing it for my family....
It is just me a southern girl with a prayerful heart...
thankful for today....
